Sunday Comes After Saturday

I don’t have much to blog about tonight. Did you enter my awesome Sprout Wellness giveaway yet?

Did you have a nice weekend? We did! On Saturday, J-Man had a soccer game, then we went to Target and picked up some odds and ends including a rash guard and sunglasses for Teh Bebe. (I can’t tell you how cute an infant-sized rash guard is. I can’t wait till the pools open!!!). After that, did lunch and baths, then went to a birthday party (moon bounce and swingset for the kids and lots of social time for mom and dad!). When we got home, J-Man was so tired he could barely walk, but he insisted on a quick game of Sorry before bed. Daddy won. Daddy wasn’t even playing – he was upstairs putting Teh Bebe to bed. Methinks it was bad strategy on our part to let the missing player win.

On Sunday, it was church, then the gym, haircuts for my boys, then off to the granparents’ house for the rest of the day. On the drive to the grandparents’ house, this happened:

J-Man (from the back seat): What day is it?
Mommy: It’s Saturday.
J-Man: Tomorrow is Sunday.
Mommy: Thank you, Rebecca Black.
Daddy: Except he doesn’t get to choose his seat.

Haha, that Daddy. He so silly.  (If you don’t get it, you can either listen to Rebecca Black’s “Friday” or just pretend you get the joke, laugh, and move on. I recommend the latter.)

During lunch today, I went for a run on the treadmill. I was feeling ready for C25k week 5, and I killed it!  Warm up, run 5.0 for 5 minutes, walk 3.5 for 3 minutes, run 5.0 for 5 minutes, walk 3.5 for 3 minutes, run 4.5 for 5 minutes, cool down. Seriously people, I can’t believe I can run 5 minutes in a row. I guess I’m getting in shape!

  1. I absolutely did enter your giveaway! It’s a good one! Oh – Hahaha (I’m pretending I got the joke) 😉 Infant rash guards are so cute. I just love how they always rise up over their little belly when they’re in the water. Precious. Good for you for killing your workout! 5 minutes feels like an eternity when you’re running. And I would know because I despise running. Good job!

I can’t wait to see my porky little baby in the pool. There is nothing in this world cuter than little baby fat thighs and belly. AWWWW!!!

  2. You go girl! I had to do this swim test and swim training for the summer camp I am working at and I woke up SORE. From swimming A LAP. Haha. Go moi!

  3. Way to go with the run! The great thing about running is that once you start making progress – it compounds so quickly! You’ll be running 10+ before you know it!

  4. Meri says:

ha- I WISH I had never heard “Friday.”

  5. LOL! Oh! Rebecca black! That’s too funny :O

  6. Entering the giveaway right now!! Great job on your run 🙂

  7. Allie says:

    Aww, J-Man sounds adorable 🙂

Good job on getting into shape and doing week 5! Woot woot!

  8. Priyanka says:

    Good job on your run!

  9. Grace says:

Baby rash guards are adorable! I bought one at Target for my boyfriend’s sister who’s preggo! I love the Rebecca Black comment:)

  10. LauraJayne says:

Of course I entered your giveaway… you’re my new healthy-products role model!

Great job on the run! I always want to be the person who can run at lunch, but it takes me too long to get ready after a workout!

  11. Tiff says:

Good for you. Treadmills = Evil

    • Christine says:

I don’t know why, but I love the treadmill. I love the black and white nature of it. Exact numbers. No unexpected hills or curbs. 🙂

  12. I didn’t get it, laughed, and moved on. 😀 (My English is improving, but it still sucks with jokes.)

I’m so happy you can run 5 minutes in a row now! I’m totally untrained with running, and lack any natural talent, so 5 minutes in a row is a lot for me as well!

  13. Haha, your family is hilarious:). Glad you had a good weekend! I hope you have a good week, too!!:)

  14. Hannah says:

I’m such a bad person, but if I ever have kids I hope they’re readers rather than sports-players – or at least not the sports that invole early morning starts or late nights! 😛 (I always see kids playing soccer at 8pm in winter over here…)

  15. Hooray for the run! I love hitting all the milestones like that- such a confidence booster. 🙂

I also love the game of Sorry. However, I think if I played it now, I’d be more likely to call it “sorry, bitches!”

  16. Ugh isn’t that song nauseating?! I can’t believe it is as popular as it is (partially because of how ridiculous it is and partially because I think people secretly like it…) Thank goodness for that girl we now know the days of the week! Phew, I ALMOST forgot (I guess I’m in a feisty mood this morning! eek!)

  17. Awesome job running. I’m so unmotivated when it comes to running 😦 I’m headed to enter your giveaway now!

  18. Congrats on the running! That’s awesome!
